Methods

In order to address the different thematically relevant areas, the Chair of Clinical Neuropsychology has adapted methods for measuring the activity of endocrine systems (HPA, HPG). Furthermore, the activity of autonomous systems can be measured using physiological parameters (HR, HRV, enzymes).

These peripheral methods are complemented with methods that help determine the structural and functional integrity of the CNS, which can be accomplished via magnetic resonance imaging. Resulting data can be further processed using structural and functional analysis processes.

Since the chair holder has many years of experience working at the Montreal Neurological Institute, research using the MINC medical imaging format is most widely practised.
